THE OFFICIAL DYME SCALE REVISITED

So Last year I did a post about rating a dyme which basically was a rubric for those who want to know where they stand on a scale of 1 to 10.  Well I've been people watching and analyzing what gives girls that neck breaking wow factor.

And to sum it up, she simply has to have her shxt together.  She cannot be lazy.  Laziness will get you nowhere fast on the dyme scale.  So my blog went from a how to be a dyme blog to a fashion focused blog.  This is just a PSA that I am redirecting my focus back to it's original niche focusing on all aspects of being a dyme (including fashion).

So clickhere to revisit the scale!  See what you score!
SN: For those not familiar with my blog it is a how-to be a dyme blog written from a dymeintheruff.  A Dymeintheruff is someone always striving to be a 10.  Even if you consider yourself a 10 strive to be a 12!

DYME ATTITUDE 101: FLAWLESS SHINY SKIN

The first thing a person meets when they meet you is your face.  So why would'nt you invest money in it?  If you have oily skin, the first thing ppl meet is your very SHINY face.  It is mandatory to invest in your skin, because the extra production of oil means extra pimples fighting to get to the surface.

So I suggest investing in Proactiv, Murad, Dermafina, or any acne clearing system. (usually a 3-step or 4-step)  Most of these systems deliver good results after 30 days.  I am a fan of Proactiv; however, I haven't used it in a year.  So here I am with a new 30 day kit from them w/ the clay mask, and I am ready to challenge this 30 day result promise.

If you have a similar system join me with this challenge (for oily skin):

1. Wash face with cleanser, then use toner RELIGIOUSLY every morning.  I do not recommend using the lotion in the morning because your skin will be moisturized due to your oil production throughout the day so this is not needed.

2. Wash face every night RELIGIOUSLY with cleanser, then use toner, and put on repair lotion.  (OMG pores will be instantly smaller in the AM)

3.  Tues & Thurs nights. -Wash with cleanser -Put on clay mask for 10 mins -Rinse that off -Use toner -Put on repair lotion

4.  Religiously drink 3-4 bottles of water a day.

5.  Religiously (i know overused word at this point) take multivitamin & folic acid supplement once a day.  Folic Acid aids in the promotion of cell production.  So it helps skin cell turnover fast so you can get rid of acne and reveal a clear face faster!

6.  Really try hard to keep your hands off my face.

7. Sleep so that your face is not touching covers, pillowcase, or anything.  Clearly you should wash your pillowcases and covers, but I believe that's not enough.  Hair oils will still find a way to seep through your scarf onto your pillowcases.

8.  Try to get 8hrsof sleep.  The more sleep you get the less stress your face goes through.

A good oily skin care routine should include a scrub 2x a week.  I left this out because the proactiv system cleanser is like a semi-scrub.  It has microbeads in it that are not too harsh and are perfect for everyday.

So basically treat your face like it is in a museum and nothing can touch it.  I will let you all know how I'm doing Dec. 23rd. (30 days from now)
