Treat your hair like it's your baby. Act as if your hair can literally feel what ur doing to it. Many think they don't have the ability to grow long hair. AHNNT WRONG!!! If you still have to shave your legs then guess what??? you don't have a hair growing problem.
1). When detangling dry hair or wide tooth combing wet hair, start from the bottom of the ends until they're detangled then work your way up the strands on to the roots. Dividing the hair in sections when doing this is a must as well.
2). Even though I despise grease it is essential that your hair has some sort of moisture in it. So that combs can glide w/out friction from dry hair. (and it won't sound like an apple gettin bit when you brush).
I recommend CHI silk infustion or Biosilk Therapy Drops... 2 quartersize portions on wet hair before drying. The don't call it silk for no reason hair will be sooo silky it'll fall out of the flat iron.
3). Only getting the split ends trimmed. It took me a while to Man-up to those stylists, but after numerous salon visits ending in a Big ChOP instead of a little trim "LIKE I ASKED"; I've found my voice. This one salon visit can back track a girl right where her butt started on her hair growing journey. I mean just wipe out all the growth you've gained. You have two options: Buy your own hair clipping scissors & snip the ends yourself OR be a customer that makes sure she gets what she asks.
Your Salon Visit:
*ask for a light trim...and tell the stylists that you only want to get rid of split ends
*Tell them not to do a razor cut (where they are throwing your poor hair in the air snipping away aimlessly at your new inches)
*Ask that they comb it down in sections and carefully snip at the damaged ends ONLY
*BIG TIP: Don't go in there completely nappy headed the frizzier your hair the worst your ends will look. Often stylists mistake crinkled ends for bad ends so I suggest going in with fairly straight ends so they don't snip perfectly fine ends.
